Do you need Christmas Assistance? 

We understand times are tough and the holiday season can be especially hard for families. Our Christmas Assistance program is an annual charitable ministry designed to help Haywood County families. We work with local schools and DSS in our area to help provide Christmas to families who need extra support during this time of year. We have also seen a need for families who homeschool or have children in alternative learning situations. That is why we have this application. If you are not able to get assistance for your child(ren) for any reason but are needing assistance, please fill out the form below.

Christmas Parade Outreach

Join us in spreading warmth and Christmas cheer at this year’s local parades! We’re excited to hand out 4,200 free hand warmers to parade-goers in Waynesville and Canton, and we’d love your help. It’s a fun, simple way to serve and connect with our community.

Each year, this small gesture brings big smiles, and we’ve heard heartwarming stories, like a little boy who told his mamaw he knew he didn’t need to buy any hand warmers because he could count on “the church being there.” Moments like these remind us why we do this!

Help support a local School. 

Every month, we come together to make a difference in the lives of students at a local Canton elementary school by packing snack bags to help carry them through the weekend. These bags may seem small, but they send a powerful message: that these children are valued and cared for. Your generosity—donating snacks like instant oatmeal packs and Slim Jims, shopping through our Amazon list, or contributing to For Haywood—makes this possible. Thank you for being part of this effort to spread kindness and support to our community’s youngest members. Together, we’re making a big impact with small gestures!

We are partnering with Haywood County Schools to support students who have lost everything due to the recent flood. We're also collaborating with local businesses impacted by flood damage, as well as non-profits, to ensure that your donations reach those most in need.

Volunteers for flood relief

As we wrap up sending crews out for muck-out work, we are now,  focused on long-term rebuilding. We are looking for skilled volunteers to help with specialized tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and other repair work. If you have experience and are willing to donate your time to help with these rebuilding efforts, we would love to hear from you!
